Description | The project entails the construction, financing and operation of a solar power plant in El Paso, located in the Cesar department, in the north of Colombia. The facility will have an installed capacity of 86.2 MW and will be able to generate around 176 GWh per year once fully operational. The solar power plant consisting of about 250,000 solar panels will be connected to the National Transmission System via El Paso substation. The investment is being estimated at $70 million. The sponsor is Enel Group - Enel Green Power Colombia (EGPC), a subsidiary of Italy-based Enel. Construction start was put on May 29, 2018.
