Description | Israel’s Ashtrom Renewable Energy has officially launched the construction of its 150-MW/195-MWdc El Patrimonio solar project in Texas, expecting the plant to become operational in 2027. The photovoltaic park will be operated under a 20-year power purchase agreement with CPS Energy, which will offtake around 70% of the plant’s output. The electricity volumes not procured by CPS Energy will be offered in the Texas open electricity market by Ashtrom. The PV farm will generate electricity equal to the power demand of around 37,000 homes per year, offsetting some 193 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. Ashtrom Renewable reached financial close on the project in March. SOLV Energy is the EPC contractor. |
