The scheme of the project contemplates an expansion of the airport expected to commence in 2019, increasing capacity from 1.5 million to three million passengers per year.The airport will increase from 9,900 m2to 16,000 m2. The works will involve increasing the number of bridges of boarding from five to six, replacing two of the existing ones, and increasing the number of remote positions from one to four, with a total of 10 positions for commercial aircraft.Other improvements considered in the concession are the construction of about 150 additional parking spaces, the new facilities for the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC), the extension of the current Wi-Fi network to the entire site and the incorporation of a luminaire with LED technology.The concession stands for a period of 6 years and will include the expansion and revamping of the airport.
