Description | The Eland Solar-plus-Storage Center is one of the largest solar and battery storage projects in the United States, designed to supply clean energy to more than 266,000 homes annually in Los Angeles. Developed in two phases, it provides 400 MW of solar power and stores up to 1,200 MWh of energy, accounting for 7% of Los Angeles' total energy consumption. The project is part of a long-term power purchase agreement between the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and Arevon Energy, aiming to support the city's transition to 100% clean energy by 2035. |
