1. Rationale The key factor of the submitted project is the cross-border cooperation between Mojmírovce (Slovak republic) and Furmicska Néptánc Egyesület (Csömör, Hungary) with the aim to connect both villages in the field of history and culture (traditions, dance, songs). Rich experience and cooperation between villages with excellent results has motivated the representatives of both villages to submit another joint project. There are many inhabitants in Csömör who understand Slovak language but they do not speak actively. The village is situated near the capital Budapest in the western part of the region Gödöllő. Since1989 the village has been developing very fast. Many Hungarian citizens has settled here in last 10 years. Only some old people speak Slovak language The project focuses on: - deepening knowledge about the history (contemporary clothes, historical sword play, national culture heritage visits, etc.) - deepening knowledge about culture (traditional costumes, songs, dance performed for and by children) - deepening knowledge about traditions (presentations for adults and children of both villages) 2. Cross-border impact Cross-border impact will be seen in: - intensification of the contacts between two villages (Mojmírovce and Csömör) - next cooperation in the sense of the partnership - participation of target groups on activities (inhabitants of the partners, expecially children) - events promoting the ideas of the project with the aim to move the culture bariers - development of existing and new products in tourism (historical costumes, clothes, crown jewels) - growth of interest in settling down in the villages 3. Target groups Mojmírovce citizens - children and adults Csőmőr citizens - children and adults.
