Elderly Care Capacity Development

The technical assistance (TA) will support the Government of Mongolia in increasing the institutional capacity of key government ministries and agencies involved in the delivery of long-term care and elderly care services. The TA will help with developing a cohesive national financial, legal, and policy framework that would be the basis for the delivery of integrated elderly care services while clearly delineating roles and responsibilities for agencies such as the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (MLSP), Ministry of Health (MOH), and Ministry of Finance (MOF) and aimag (province) level structures. TA activities include the organization of policy workshops, training seminars, and study tours.The TA is aligned with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Strategy 2030 Operational Plan for Addressing Remaining Poverty and Reducing Inequalities, with emphasis on improving the lives of vulnerable people in Asia and the Pacific, including the region's aging population. The TA is included in the ADB's indicative country pipeline and monitoring report for Mongolia for 20242027.
