Description
Description | Electra's EL2 prototype is a hybrid-electric plane that requires only 150 feet for takeoff and landing, enabling operations from compact sites such as grass areas, service roads, and compact paved surfaces. The system uses powered airflow technology combined with hybrid-electric motors to allow flights from thousands of compact locations rather than congested hubs. The commercial model, EL9, will seat nine people and is planned to start service in 2029 with operational costs two-thirds less than helicopters and significantly less noise. |
