Electric Buses on Net Cost Contract Model in Lucknow and Kanpur

planned

The state government of Uttar Pradesh is implementing a pilot project to operate electric buses based on the Net Cost Contract (NCC) model in Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow, and adjoining major towns. Under this model, private operators will operate electric buses on ten designated routes in Lucknow and Kanpur for a contract duration of 12 years. The private operators will be responsible for purchasing, manufacturing, supplying, maintaining the buses, setting up infrastructure, and fare collection. The government will fix the fare and tariff charges to ensure convenient and economical transport for passengers.
