Description | Panasonic Energy of North America is considering constructing an electric vehicle battery-cell manufacturing plant in Tulsa or at an unselected site in Kansas. The project scope includes design and construction of a 3-million-sq-ft building with cleanrooms; installation of electrode mixing, coating and forming and battery cell assembly and conditioning equipment; and purchase and installation of chemical storage tanks, and raw material storage and conveying, robotic cell handling, and supporting equipment. PENA will use the plant to produce high-capacity lithium-ion batteries. |
