Description
Description | E-PiCo+ (EMJM on Electric vehicle PropulsIon and COntrol Plus) is a 2-year Masters’ programme (120 ECTS). It aims to train students (target of 30 students per cohort) in the field of electric propulsion with its control, to be the future experts in Electric Vehicles (EVs). It will provide technical and scientific solutions for making EVs more affordable, with a high level of safety, thus being at the forefront of the global energy transition envisaged by the European Commission in the e-mobility sector. With the world’s increasing need in EVs, new key notions as hybrid EV-based storage hydrogen; new battery; fast-charging issues and communication tools, under the increased penetration of EV to the grid, will be addressed as a complement. It offers solutions in compensation to the range of weakness - charging time and stability of the grid - and ensures the employability and competitiveness of the E-PiCo+ graduates at EU level. To achieve these objectives, the consortium, already jointly designed, well implemented and fully supported for the 1st E-PiCo programme (EACEA support 2019-25), will be completed by 1 of the leading Mexican institution in the field, the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV). Part of the academic associate partners in the past, CINVESTAV will be integrated as full academic partner to optimize the current consortium: Centrale Nantes (CN), France (coordinator), Kiel University (CAU), Germany; University of Aquila (UAQ), Italy; and the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest (UNSTPB), Romania. CINVESTAV will enhance the E-PiCo+ visibility beyond EU and upgrading the level of internationalisation of the acting HEIs, complementing the higher support from industrial stakeholders. Finally, beyond E-PiCo+, the final stage of jointness will be reached as the joint degree and the European Approach for Quality Insurance are on the right direction and close to be implemented. |
