Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Integration Pilot Program (eIPP)

The US Department of Transportation has announced the eIPP, a pilot programme to accelerate the deployment of advanced air mobility (AAM) vehicles. The programme aims to form public-private partnerships with state and local governments and private sector companies to develop frameworks and regulations for integrating AAM operations, including piloted and unmanned air taxis, cargo, logistics, and emergency management services. The eIPP will include a minimum of five pilot projects and run for three years once the first project becomes operational.
