Electricity Project V

The present intervention is related to the Electricity project V. It aims to satisfy the increase in power demand and to reinforce power security in the Central West, Oriental, Loukkos and Souss regions. The implementation of the project should contribute to the development of the industrial, agricultural and tourism sectors of these regions. In addition, the project is expected to strengthen the supply of electricity to the Doukkala irrigation perimeter and the two industrial areas of Safi and Youssoufia on the one hand, andto ensure the energy supply of a new cement plant of more than one million tons / year on the other hand. The project consists mainly of the following three (03) components: (i) the construction of 5 225 KV and 225/60 KV transformer stations, (ii) the extension and strengthening of 4 225 / 60KV substations, as well as (iii) the supervision and control of works.
