The projects include the construction and expansion of high-voltage transmission lines and substations in Afghanistan to facilitate the importation of 800 to 1,000 megawatts of electricity from Uzbekistan. Four major projects are involved: the 500 kV Surkhan–Dasht-e-Alwan transmission line, expansion of the Argandi substation, the 220 kV Kabul–Sheik Mesri transmission line, and the Sheik Mesri substation in Nangarhar. |
