Electrification of the service center - Phase 1

The project targets phase 1 of the electrification, adaptation and expansion Project for the garage of the Société de transport de Trois-Rivières in order to support the shift to fully electric transportation and thus contribute to climate change mitigation. The project includes: - studies, plans and specifications; - landscaping at the rear of the building to allow for the expansion of the garage, the electrical room and the mechanical workshop; - extension of the mechanical workshop area with the addition of 3 bays; - adjustments to the electrical infrastructure including the addition of an air-conditioned container and the installation of four terminals to support a loading capacity of three 40-foot electric buses and an adapted electric minibus; - the implementation of provisions related to the safety of drivers and constructive operating operations on buildings (fire walls) as well as the installation of associated detection and extinguishing systems; and - power grid supply by Hydro-Québec. The project will improve the capacity, quality and safety of public transit infrastructure through the addition of maintenance and storage facilities, charging stations and safety improvements.
