Description | The Government of India approved 17 new projects under the 2nd tranche of the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) with a total investment of Rs 7,172 crore. These projects aim to boost the production of electronic goods and components within India, covering components like camera modules, connectors, oscillators, enclosures, and multi-layer PCBs. The projects are spread across 9 states and union territories, including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. The manufacturing units include India's first Optical Transceiver facilities and various other component manufacturing units. |
