Description | The Elephant Phase Block project is located in the Murzuk Basin in the central western part of Libya. It involves the production of oil and gas in the NC-174 Block (Elephant Field) by Mellitah Oil & Gas BV. The project started in January 1991 and has been ongoing since then. The participants in the project include NOC with 88% share, Eni with 8% share, and a Korean consortium with 4% share. The contract period for the project is 1990 to 2033 based on EPSA08. The initial production began in May 2004, and as of June 2023, the accumulated production volume is 17 million barrels with an average daily production of 1.61k barrels (KNOC's share). |
