Description | NioCorp Developments Ltd. is advancing the Elk Creek Project in Nebraska, designed to produce niobium, scandium, titanium, and rare earth elements essential for electric vehicles, clean energy, and defense technologies. The company has been upgrading resource estimates and improving feasibility study accuracy to plan future construction and attract financing. It raised about $60 million in fiscal 2025 and is working with the U.S. Export-Import Bank for a possible loan. In November 2025, it acquired additional land sufficient for the planned underground mine and surface processing facility, holding all necessary surface and mineral rights to begin construction once financing is secured. The project requires more than $1.1 billion in capital to move into construction and production. |
