Elk Development is an independent production company founded by Director Andreas Dalsgaard and Editor Nicolás Staffolani and co-owned by producer and managing director Michael Haslund-Christensen. Elk’s team of producers and creatives aim to push creative boundaries, specializing in high profile stories, backed by elaborate research and finely crafted narratives. We are dedicated to developing and producing documentary films, series and fictional adaptations for global audiences. The ambition of the company is to grow internationally with an innovative, competitive business model, focusing on strengthening the development phase of our projects. We believe that thorough development is the prerequisite for the ability to produce more ambitious productions with a considerable size, cast and reach, able to compete in the fast growing, global media markets. This business strategy has led to Elk Film Development Fund - a collaboration between Dogwoof (by Anna Godas), the Danish Growth Fund and the Elk Film Group - bridging private equity, sales knowhow and European Film Funds to secure dynamic financing models.
