Description
Description | As a network of 43 independent children’s rights institutions, ENOC’s main objective is to protect and promote children’s rights across Europe through the fullest possible implementation of the UNCRC and related EU policies. The Network will support its members through capacity-building and training activities. Each year, ENOC will extensively work on a specific issue selected by the members that is affecting children’s rights and requires special attention at ENOC members’ and European level. A number of activities will be organised around the main topic to allow members to exchange information, practices, and approaches, and children to express views. Each year, ENOC will issue a Policy Position Statement on the annual theme informed by ENOC members’ experiences and by ENYA young advisors’ views. ENOC will also monitor, report and raise awareness on issues affecting children’s rights as they arise during the implementation period. All ENOC activities are designed to strenghten the Network’s child rights advocacy work and to facilitate the implementation of high children’s rights standards at European, international and national level. A crucial part of ENOC’s work is its ENYA child participation project. ENOC’s objective is to include in a systematic and meaningful way the voices of children and young people in all aspects of its work. ENOC will work towards the improvement of its child participation processes to ensure the highest standards of participation. Expected results of ENOC activities include an increased knowledge by ENOC members & relevant stakeholders of selected child rights issues; improved standards and extended use of good practices in ENOC member countries; adoption of common policy recommendations addressed to competent authorities; increased impact of ENOC’s collective voice by integrating children’s views and empowering their participation in ENOC’s activities and decision-making; enhanced promotion of ENOC’s role & activities, etc. |
