Description

Description

Design and Construction: This project would fund the replacement of older emergency phones at stations, to be replaced with the current, modern model that is being installed at stations on the O-Train Confederation Line. This project would also fund an upgrade to the E-phone system to integrate with VOIP technology. Emergency telephones improve the safety and security of customers by allowing them to contact the OC Transpo security control centre if there are issues of concern to them, and improving customers’ sense of safety can support increased use of transit by vulnerable customers or at quieter times of the day.
