The European Migration Network (EMN) National Contact Point (NCP) of Belgium will contribute to the objective of the EMN to provide up-to-date, objective, reliable and comparable information on migration and asylum for the institutions of the EU as well as its Member States, plus Norway, in order to inform policymaking as well as the wider public and facilitate practical cooperation, through the following activities and outputs: Providing replies to EMN Ad-Hoc Queries; Preparing EMN annual policy reports; Updates to the EMN Country Factsheets Preparing national reports for the EMN Studies; Contributing to EMN Informs; Contributing to EMN Glossary; Contributing to EMN Bulletins; Contributing to the EMN Status Reports; Updates to the EU Immigration Portal; Participating in the work of the Return Expert Group and other EMN working groups; Networking and co-operation amongst the EMN NCPs; Networking and co-operation at the national level; Managing EMN national website; Organizing EMN conferences. The EMN NCP of Belgium will contribute to reach a wide range of stakeholders. At EU and international levels, stakeholders include (i) EU institutions and initiatives and (ii) international and European organisations active in the areas of migration and asylum, or in related areas. At national level, stakeholders include (i) national authorities and institutions, (ii) national experts, (iii) other stakeholders active in the areas of migration and asylum, (iv) the wider interested public and (v) the media. The provision of objective and reliable information on migration and asylum should have a long-term impact on the national and EU policies in the field of migration and asylum. The networking and collaboration at the EU and national level should have a long-term impact on links and cooperative relationships among all stakeholders active in these fields.
