Description
Description | Within this specific sanitary worldwide context, Empowering Communities through Skills Development project aims at developing the resilience and capacity of vulnerable communities in 8 Non-EU countries (Morocco, Georgia, Albania, Armenia, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Nepal) and reinforcing the capacity of 11 Non-EU hosting organizations and their beneficiaries through the deployment of 30 European Solidarity Corps Humanitarian Aid volunteers. The first specific objective is to reinforce the capacities of the hosting organisations, local partners and communities’ members through two online capacity building activities implemented by ADICE on project management and Mentoring. The second, third and fourth specific objectives consist in deploying 16 volunteers in African countries, 11 Volunteers in Asian and Caucasus countries and 3 volunteers in Balkans countries, to support the local partners staff and their local communities’ beneficiaries in the field of human rights, women’s empowerment, education, climate change and environment protection, health, organisational development, etc. To reach these objectives, the organizations will recruit, prepare, deploy, monitor and evaluate 30 European volunteers of expertise, including young people with fewer opportunities. Moreover, to ensure the sustainable impact of this project, the ESC HumAid Volunteers will implement Capacity Building workshops to share their methods, tools and expertise to local organizations members and local communities’ representatives. The aim of these actions is to empower the staff with the necessary skills so they can effectively continue the actions started by the volunteers. All along this project, all the partners and volunteers will be involved in the implementation of several dissemination activities (articles/stories from the field, during events and forums where the organisations and the volunteers participate, newsletters, etc). |
