Empowering Youth through Capacity Building, Advocacy and Educational Intercultural Activities

EEE-YFU's workplan supports the Call's objectives in three ways: Firstly, EEE-YFU will conduct Youth Work & Youth Worker Capacity Building activities, including trainings, exchanges and development of best practices, tools creation and dissemination. At the organisational level these actions contribute to the development of youth work structures, quality, and sustainability; at the individual level they contribute directly to the development of young people, especially through NFE. These actions target individuals and organisations, include a diversity of approaches, are sustainable beyond the scope of this workplan, and address multipliers to increase each action’s impact. Secondly, EEE-YFU will work in the area of Advocacy & Partnerships, focusing on the empowerment of young people to contribute to EU policy through consultations and events, a volunteer representation network, evidence gathering and information dissemination through digital media. Additionally, EEE-YFU will make the voice of young people heard through the Youth Dialogue and different campaigns, as well as spread information on EU policies relevant for youth among our stakeholders, using our diverse channels. These actions will increase MOs’ and young people’s awareness of the EU Youth Strategy and several of its main priorities. They also take into account two key approaches: disseminating information and creating awareness from the top down; and from the bottom up they provide channels for young people to participate and engage in European policy debates. Thirdly, EEE-YFU will continue to offer and develop targeted educational intercultural activities in line with the objectives of the EU. A large-scale event, as well as virtual intercultural education workshops, international trainings and activities focusing on youth representation will promote a stronger participation of young people in democratic and civic life in Europe, intercultural learning, critical thinking and respect for diversity.
