IDIaqua boosts R + D + i in water purification in small urban agglomerations, a strategic area for the regions involved. The increase in investment in wastewater treatment infrastructure in rural areas and the investment in R + D + i in this type of treatment plants is urgent to ensure the sustainability of the purification networks and to comply with the objectives of Directive 91/271 / EEC. The project also contributes to improving the scientific excellence of the Cross-Border Cooperation Space in a line of research with strong potential to be internationally competitive, both for the experience and capabilities of the partnership and for the available research infrastructures.
