Enabling the green growth of Ukrainian social entrepreneurs

The EYE4UA - Enabling the green growth of Ukrainian social entrepreneurs project - intends to support UA nationals (even those displaced in EU Member States) in starting or re-starting their businesses as entrepreneurs in the Single Market with a view to contributing to the reconstruction of Ukraine. The project will design and deliver a set of support actions enhancing and facilitating the exchanges of Ukrainian new entrepreneurs with host entrepreneurs outside of Ukraine. Access to the programme will be open to any entrepreneur however, the project will reserve a special focus on the social economy and proximity sector, as it is key for countries in crisis situations to become more resilient than many traditional economic sectors because it proves to be agile and effective in sustaining employment and economic growth. Furthermore, the EYE4UA project has a clear scope in privileging the green and digital transition when it comes to matching NEs and HEs, while it will reserve a special quota for women NEs and HEs. The project specific objectives are to inspire and motivate 170 host entrepreneurs (HEs) to participate in the Programme, build relationships with NEs to gain experience in mentoring, receive fresh ideas, enhance their innovative potential, and enlarge their knowledge of new markets which result in developed cross-border business cooperation, in created new businesses, joint ventures and spin-off companies; to support networking between Ukrainian and other European entrepreneurs from different SMP Participating Countries by building on knowledge, hands-on experience; to contribute to the EU’s support to Ukrainian entrepreneurs and to facilitate the continuation of business in Ukraine and the reconstruction phase of the country; to contribute for building of 214 successful relationships between NEs and HEs and offer a mobility period to at least 95 UA new entrepreneurs.
