Enclosed bicycle parking areas at Transitway stations to encourage multimodal travel

Design and construction: This project would enable the creation of fully covered bicycle parking areas at stations with park-and-ride facilities, or at other stations where conditions warrant. The covered parking that currently exists at some stations is heavily used, but it doesn’t provide the same quality of transportation for commuters switching from car to bike as it does for commuters switching from bike to car. A fully covered parking lot would keep bicycles out of the rain and snow, and advance the city’s efforts to encourage the use of bicycles for "the first and last mile".
