Description

The Office on Women’s Health anticipates the availability of FY2022 funds to develop health literacy materials on Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) with the goal of communicating effectively to Black and African American women. The two main target audiences are: (1) Black or African American women, and (2) people who care for Black or African American women, including healthcare providers and community programs. For Black and African American women, the recipient will be expected to develop educational handouts and resources identifying EDCs and safe alternatives. For people caring for Black or African American women, the recipient will be expected to develop education and training, with the goal of enhancing skillsets to provide individualized, culturally competent, effective care for Black or African American women who are at higher risk of exposure to EDCs.
