Description | The project involves an IFC investment in two subsidiaries of OAO Concern Energomera (“Energomera Group”): namely OAO Monocrystal (“Monocrystal”), and ZAO Energomera (“Energomera”). Energomera develops and produces a wide range of electronic metering technologies and equipment. Monocrystal produces synthetic sapphires - the key substrate used in the production of light-emitting diodes (“LEDs”), and special materials used in the production of solar photovoltaic cells. The loans will be guaranteed by the Energomera Group. The project contemplates extending A loans to Energomera for refinancing its short-term loans; and Monocrystal to support the growth of the two company''s operations in 2011 and refinance its short term loans. |
