Description | The Second Energy Project in Moldova, aims to improve the security and reliability of the electricity transmission system, and wholesale electricity supply, and, therefore, facilitate commercial operations of the power system, both domestically and internationally; and in addition, to improve the ability, quality, and efficiency of heating in selected, priority public buildings, schools, hospitals, and residential buildings for the disabled, and other vulnerable groups. The project components are: 1) electricity system upgrade; 2) heating supply and efficiency improvement; 3) technical assistance for project implementation, and energy sector reforms; and, 4) project management, and administration; this includes the incremental costs associated with the establishment, and operation of a Project Implementation Unit, and, auditing related issues. |
