Energy efficiency in grid-connected electricity supply (country quota component)

According to the current planning status, the individual measures planned include the construction of new buildings including grid connections for up to eleven substations at 230/132 kV or 132/33 kV, the conversion and upgrading of further substations, and the construction and upgrading of a total of 200 km of transmission lines (230 kV and 132 kV) throughout the country. The project is sponsored by the state-owned grid operator Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB), which is responsible for the management and operation of the Bangladeshi electricity transmission network outside of Dhaka. Several FC projects have already been successfully implemented with PGCB in the past. The target group of the project includes all consumers supplied by the public electricity grid. This includes companies, private households and public institutions, which benefit from a higher supply and increased grid stability.
