Energy efficiency in industry

The planned project is intended to promote energy efficiency measures in Bangladeshi industry, with the primary goal of reducing final energy consumption and the associated CO2 emissions of companies. The aim of the project is for companies, including SMEs, from all industrial sectors to use access to subsidized loans to invest in energy-efficient machines, production facilities and processes. This will achieve a reduction in final energy consumption and the associated CO2 emissions of at least 20% for each individual measure. The overarching development policy goal is to promote an economically, ecologically and socially fair provision and use of energy in Bangladesh.
