Description
Description | The FC project finances urgently needed measures to strengthen Mongolia's central power grid (Central Energy System, CES). The project measures include the replacement of various high-voltage and medium-voltage devices as well as the renewal of the associated protection, measurement, control and communication devices in selected switchgear. The FC project serves to increase the availability and reliability of the CES. Bottlenecks or unplanned outages in the power supply are reduced and the security of supply for the consumers connected to the CES is increased. The DC program objective in the focus on energy efficiency is to make an effective contribution to the economically and ecologically more sustainable provision and use of energy as well as to security of supply in Mongolia. Against this background, the FC module objective is to contribute to a secure supply of electrical energy to the target group in the CES. The target group of the FC project is all consumers connected to the CES. The borrower is the Mongolian Ministry of Finance (MoF). The National Power Transmission Grid State Owned Stock Company (NPTG), which reports directly to the Mongolian Ministry of Energy (MoE), is the project sponsor for the FC project. The total cost of the project measures is around EUR 20.45 million, excluding taxes, customs duties and other public charges. An FC loan (BMZ standard conditions) of up to EUR 20.45 million is planned for financing. |
