Description
Description | The Energy Efficiency Measures and Convergence with EU Energy Efficiency Standards in Buildings project aims to reduce energy efficiency in selected public buildings in Batumi by reducing annual energy requirements by 20% and to contribute to increased user satisfaction. Energy savings and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions will contribute to the sustainable use of natural resources and climate protection. A large proportion of the selected public buildings are municipal kindergartens. The focus on social infrastructure is intended to improve learning and working conditions in the buildings and support the urban development of Batumi. The target group is the users of the public buildings (kindergarten children and staff) and the city administration staff who are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the buildings. In addition to the construction measures, an implementation consultant will be financed to provide intensive support to the project sponsor in planning and implementing the project and to ensure the sustainability of the investment by training the target group. The FC module has a pilot character in Georgia. It will be used to systematically collect and evaluate experience in the field of energy-efficient building renovation in Georgia and to take it into account in future project approaches. To this end, the consultant, together with the project sponsor, will be in regular contact with central government actors in the field of energy efficiency. |
