Energy-efficient housing in Peru

As part of the FC project Energy-efficient housing in Peru, a subsidized loan with GWR was issued to the state-owned Fondo Mivivienda to finance a project in the field of energy-efficient social housing (based on similarly structured FC projects, e.g. the Ecocasa approach from Mexico). The project includes the provision of interest-subsidized loans to new owners to finance energy-efficient houses and apartments and is thus intended to contribute to the dissemination of corresponding energy-efficient technologies in Peru. The subsidized loan of EUR 45 million was issued to the Peruvian fund Fondo Mivivienda S.A. (Mivivienda). The final borrowers of the FC funds are socially disadvantaged but creditworthy sections of the population in Peru. The Mivivienda fund will pass on the FC loan funds to the final borrowers via financial intermediaries.
