Description | The project involves the development, construction, operation and maintenance of a battery electric storage system (BESS) of at least 20.0 MW/20.0 MWh, expandable to 40 MW/160 MWh. The utility-scale storage system is intended to improve grid stability and deliver peaking capacity to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) at various PREPA substation locations.The successful bidder will undertake all labor, engineering, design, procurement of equipment and materials, required permitting, construction, installation, interconnection, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance for the duration of the BESS contract, between 10 and 30 years. |
