Description

Description

The project aims to enhance the EU Youth Dialogue (EUYD) in Slovenia by strengthening its structure, engaging a broader range of young people, and increasing visibility among youth work actors and decision-makers. It targets young people aged 15-29, including both non-organized youth (in schools, youth centres, and vocational schools) and organized youth (in local and national youth organizations and councils). Decision-makers at local and national levels, youth sector professionals, and the project’s Pool of EUYD trainers are also key target groups. Project objectives include involving 300 young people in dialogue with decision-makers, empowering 400 non-organized youth through school consultations, and conducting 20 implementation activities targeting 100 participants per cycle. Young participants will gain practical experience in active citizenship, democratic decision-making, and dialogue with decision-makers, fostering trust and confidence in participation processes. The project also aims to improve local decision-makers' understanding of youth needs and cooperation mechanisms while enhancing the advocacy capacity of youth workers and organizations. The project ensures quality through training for EUYD trainers, focusing on innovative methodologies and deeper knowledge of youth dialogue topics. Online consultations, regional outreach, and collaboration with eight organizations working with youth with fewer opportunities amplify diverse voices. The EUYD Ambassador program fosters a youth-led approach by empowering ambassadors to represent youth at EU conferences, manage social media outreach, and make the EUYD process more accessible. These efforts are bolstered by follow-up mechanisms designed to enhance transparency and accountability, ensuring that recommendations are tracked and implemented beyond individual cycles.
