A diagnosis of the current situation, basic engineering studies and feasible alternatives, so as to establish a system integrating the modified and adapted to the new requirements idle infrastructure in order to achieve better connectivity main priority border crossing between Chile and Argentina. Thus, the main objective of this project will analyze the feasibility of the following interventions: (i) Expansion of the section of Caracoles tunnel and the construction of interconnection galleries ; (ii) Comprehensive Improvement Cristo Redentor tunnel; and (iii) Unification of the system operation.
