Description

Description

The project involves the development of Englewood Senior a 160-unit affordable independent senior living project that marks the first redevelopment phase of a master-planned, mixed-use, multi-phase community on the 30-acre site of the former Englewood Manor public housing site.Constructed in 1971 on roughly 30 acres of land, Englewood Manor comprised 324 public housing units until residents were relocated in 2007 owing to significant physical and social issues. Consequently, the property was demolished in 2009 with approval from HUD. Situated in southeast Atlanta, about 1.5 miles south of Zoo Atlanta and Grant Park, Englewood is part of the Chosewood Park neighborhood, bordered by Boulevard Crossing Park and the Atlanta Beltline Southside Trail.
