Description

Description

English for Young Professionals - Kyrgyz Republic U.S. Embassy Bishkek announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to implement an English for Young Professionals program in the Kyrgyz Republic. While the Embassy’s preference is to make one or more large awards to organizations for proposals covering all provinces, proposals focusing on smaller geographic areas will be considered. Expected total funding is $200,000 to $400,000. Please carefully follow all application instructions. Program Objectives: This program will help young professionals in the Kyrgyz Republic increase their English language ability, improve their ability to access reputable international media and information resources, and learn about U.S. programs, polices and perspectives. The program may also have professional development elements such as modules on networking, public speaking, debate and current news and events, though these should be linked to English language instruction. The program should focus on increasing the language and information skills of young professionals in the particular disciplines and professions that will best complement other U.S. government programming and best advance U.S. government goals in the Kyrgyz Republic and the broader region. The program should also advance U.S. global priorities, including global U.S. leadership and security and prosperity for the American people. Proposals for all formats and/or combinations of formats for instruction will be considered. Proposals may include traditional group classes, individual classes, on-line or electronic media teaching, and/or use of social or traditional media. Applicants should clearly outline participant selection and provide detailed information on proposed delivery methods and course materials.
