Enhanced Justice Sector Services Project - Mongolia

The objective of the Enhanced Justice Sector Services Project is to support Mongolian justice sector institutions enhance their efficiency, transparency and accountability through capacity improvements. There are four components to the project. The first component is the enhancing public legal education on the justice sector. It will support the development of comprehensive legal education reform program and the implementation of a national public information strategy to complement the work of other donors and Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs). These programs will provide general information concerning recent developments in the Mongolian justice sector. Additionally, this component will highlight the new practical information and public resources available for consultation to encourage improved knowledge and more widespread use of these new tools. The second component is the increasing transparency through improved access to legal information. It will improve access to legal information by implementing national justice sector information and networking strategies for both the Supreme Court and Ministry of Justice and Home Affaires (MOJHA's) Court Enforcement Agency. The third component is the enhancing judicial operations, enforcement and monitoring of court decisions. It will strengthen and modernize the court enforcement agency. It will provide financing for site surveys and the refurbishment or construction of select rural Aimag court enforcement agency offices. Finally, the fourth component is the project management.
