The Enhanced NIS2 Implementation And Cooperation Project (The ENIAC Project) is MSB’s flagship project in terms of preparing itself, Swedish organizations and Swedish society at large for the changes that will follow the transposition of the NIS2 Directive into Swedish law. The ENIAC project comprises four work packages: WP 1 Administration and management: This work package provides the administrative backbone for the ENIAC project. WP 2 Communication, coordination & capacity building: This work package is about raising awareness about the new requirements, and helping organizations to implement and adjust to them, as well as to raise their overall cybersecurity posture. WP 3 New or improved NIS2 tasks: This work package is about creating the new institutional underpinnings that the NIS2 Directive requires, such as secondary legislation, notification procedures, an expanded NIS SPOC function and the establishment of MSB as the Swedish National Cyber Crisis Management Authority. WP 4 Technical development and implementation: This work package is about building the technical systems and services that MSB, as the national CSIRT under the NIS2 Directive, needs in order to be able to carry out its tasks. The overall aim of the project is to implement the NIS2 Directive in Sweden in a way that, firstly, establishes a high level of information and cybersecurity across the sectors covered by the directive, and, secondly, that is cost effective and, thirdly, avoids making it unnecessarily difficult to adhere to requirements.
