Enhanced Pedestrian-Cycling Pathway and Sidewalk Connections to Kingston Transit Bus Stops

• The project involves the construction of new off-road accessible pathways and sidewalks which will provide more direct connections to public transit bus stops. • The project consists of the construction of approximately 3.4 km of off-road trails, approximately 3.8 km of sidewalks, 22 pedestrian crossovers (PXOs) and 9 intersection pedestrian signals (IPSs). • The project will result in improved capacity, quality and safety of the active transportation and public transit system in Kingston, Ontario by providing residents a safer and more direct commute to and from public transit stops.
