The general objective is combatting illegal migration to EU by improving the confirming the identity of Central Asia (CA) citizens and organisation of return actions by enhancement of cooperation with and qualifications of Central Asia Migration Authorities (CAMA). Basing on experience on the first EURLO Central Asia project Polish Border Guard in cooperation with ILO and CAMA and supported by Polish Office for Foreigners concluded that the cooperation should be continued in order to strengthen the cooperation between ILO, CAMA and the EU MS as well as support the needs of CAMA, including the area of int. protection. Output: - 4 English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses - ca. 40 prs. in PL and 4 Eng courses in CA - ca. 40 prs.; - 24 (12xCA + 12xPL or other MS) training sessions/workshops related to border protection – 3 topics per CA country, each topic including one 1 week session in EU and one 1 week session in CA; - 4 study visits to LT, SWE, CZE or PL in the field of int. prot. and migr. man.; - 4 1-week workshops in CA on int. prot., 1 workshop per CA country. Outcome: Return efficiency and EU policy objectives will benefit from ILOs’ improved cooperation with CAMA and strengthened + newly established contacts. Impact: The established and improved cooperation channels + newly acquired skills improve efficiency of ILOs tasks by improving and speeding up of identification and return of more CA citizens, increasing the rate of returns. Thanks to improved language, forgery identification, migr. and int. prot. man. and professional skills CAMAs’ long term migration management capacity will be enhanced. Methodology: The project is initiated by PL BG HQ and ILO in UZB who, together with CAMA, identified areas which can best contribute to improved cooperation and increased efficiency of return. FRONTEX and 6 MS participate. The short term beneficiaries are ILOs and other EU migration LO as well as CAMA, medium-term – MSs authorities, long-term - societies of the MSs
