Description | The general objective is combatting illegal migration to EU by improving the confirming the identity of Central Asia (CA) citizens and organisation of return actions by enhancement of cooperation with and qualifications of Central Asia Migration Authorities (CAMA) through activities of EU ILOs operating in CA and support of EU MSs. ILO and CAMA identified areas of support. Output: - 3 English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses - ca. 30 prs. in PL and 5 English courses - ca. 54 prs. in CA; - 6 (3xCA + 3xPL) basic (CA) and advanced (PL) training sessions - detection of forged documents - 2 sessions per CA country and a manual for training purposes and multiplication; - 6 study visits to CZ, EE, LT, SE and PL in the field of migration management, including preventing illegal migration and the detention system. Each CA country visits 2 EU MSs and may compare migration systems. Outcome: EU policy objectives will benefit from ILOs’ improved cooperation with CAMA and strengthened + newly established contacts. These and CA’s newly acquired skills and know-how will allow ILOs’ and EU MSs effective identification of CA citizens and their return. Impact: The established and improved cooperation channels + newly acquired skills improve efficiency of ILOs tasks by improving speeding up identification and return of more CA citizens, increasing the rate of returns to CA. Thanks to improved language, forgery identificaiton, migration management and professional skills CAMAs’ long term migration management capacity will be enhanced. Methodology: The project is initiated by PL BG HQ and ILO in UZB who, together with CAMA, identified areas which can best contribute to improved cooperation and increased efficiency of return. 5 MS participate. The short term beneficiaries are ILOs and other EU migration LO as well as CAMA, medium-term – MSs authorities due to an increase in return operations, long-term - societies of the MSs thanks to better migration management in CA and EU. |
