Description

Description

The general objective of the Technical Assistance (TA) for SLO SNAP project is to prepare the Slovenian Strategic Nature Project (SNAP). Led by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning (MNVP), collaborative efforts will mobilize the expertise of Slovenian Parks and stakeholders. The project's crucial focus is on bridging policy and practical implementation, ensuring effective conservation measures for Natura 2000 areas. Irena Likar (IL), an experienced manager of LIFE projects, will oversee operations, including Concept Note and SNAP preparation, supported by regular reporting, inclusive work plans, collaboration with a Project Steering Committee, and mainstreaming for success. This effort aligns with conservation goals and cross-sectoral collaboration, significantly contributing to nature preservation and sustainable development in Slovenia. The TA project is directed towards the precise preparation of a Strategic Nature Project (SNAP) that precisely links to the parameters outlined within the call topic. SNAP will encompass a comprehensive array of targeted plans, strategies, and action plans that synergistically contribute to the overarching goals of strategic biodiversity conservation. Incorporating key components such as the Priority Action Framework (PAF), Natura 2000 Management Programme for Slovenia (PUN), EU Biodiversity Policies, and Complementary Policies, the SNAP project ensures a holistic approach. By integrating these strategies, the proposal encapsulates a comprehensive alignment with the call's objectives and the broader ambition of the LIFE Programme. This strategic integration aims to substantively contribute to large-scale territorial conservation while actively involving diverse stakeholders and SNAP beneficiaries in the process.
