Description
Description | The DigiGuard project aims to enhance children's digital safety and rights across Europe by fostering child participation, strengthening protective systems, and promoting inclusive digital literacy. Addressing the escalating risks children face online, such as cyberbullying, privacy breaches, and AI-driven manipulation, DigiGuard adopts a holistic, child-centred approach. Through co-designed educational materials and interactive workshops, the project will empower children aged 9–17 to critically navigate digital environments. By establishing moderated online forums, children can anonymously express concerns and receive expert guidance, fostering a safe space for dialogue. National policy roundtables will facilitate direct engagement between children, policymakers, educators, and tech industry stakeholders, ensuring that children's voices influence digital policy and governance. DigiGuard will implement a robust safeguarding framework, adhering to the highest ethical standards and EU values, including the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The project emphasizes gender equality, non-discrimination, and the inclusion of marginalized groups, ensuring diverse representation and participation. By integrating education, prevention, and advocacy, DigiGuard seeks to create a sustainable impact on child protection systems and digital policies, contributing to a safer and more inclusive digital landscape for all children. |
