Enhancing Hoist System at Fleet Maintenance Garage

Replace the existing hoist and install a manual lift with work platform to be used and housed exclusively at North Bay Transit’s Fleet Maintenance Garage in order to allow Maintenance Staff to service transit vehicles more quickly. This will allow vehicles to be serviced and put back on the road more efficiently and avoid service disruptions. The proposed new hoists would also be wholly located above ground, reducing the risk of fluid spills and the associated negative environmental impacts. The proposed manual lift would address health and safety concerns and improve efficiency.
