Description

Description

SECURE-EU project aims to foster a common culture of cybersecurity awareness on cybersecurity solutions for SMEs. The objectives and ambitions of SECUR-EU include Enhance Open-Source (OS) security projects to achieve enterprise grade security, provide open-source security solutions to the SME market, enhance the white-hack testing techniques via the HackOlympics initiative. SECURE-EU will address the challenges of increased attacks on critical infrastructure and SMEs. The challenge of SMEs struggling to secure their environments will be addressed through top tier contributions offering them OS enterprise grade security solutions. SMEs will use and develop their security solutions based on two envisaged categories: Attack solutions: security scanning and penetration testing (OS and enterprise) tools from various topics developed to perform up-to-date attacks on the critical infrastructures. Defense solutions: Next generation SIEMS/IPS/IDS systems developed to track anomalies on a network of critical infrastructures. SECUR-EU consortium will design and develop a threat intelligence framework for comprehensive protection of critical infrastructures by combining: 1. Detection and classification of attacks from sophisticated threat actors on critical infrastructure, including dedicated adversary simulation sessions. 2. Penetration testing tools and techniques addressing the upcoming vulnerabilities. Artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms used to estimate vulnerabilities. 3. Next generation interconnected Intrusion detection systems (IDS) using AI predictive models able to detect and prevent sophisticated attacks. 4. Decentralized information sharing system based on P2P network communication protocol. Cryptography algorithms used between data transfer layers. 5. AI-enhanced technology will maximize the capability of SECUR-EU solution to predict, detect, and analyze upcoming threats. 6. User-centric dashboard allowing stakeholders interacting with developed components.
