Enhancing the cooperation and the control models in the field of prevention of fraud, related to customs regimes 4200 and 4000, affecting the EU system of own resources

The project includes organizing and conducting of 6 working meetings on expert level between the National Revenue Agency of Bulgaria and the revenue administrations of Romania, Greece and Turkey for strengthening the cooperation and expanding the control models in the field of prevention and investigation of irregularities and fraud in connection with customs regimes 4200 and 4000, affecting the EU system of own resources. The main objective of the project is protection of the financial interests of Bulgaria and the EU system of own resources, through optimization of the control activity of NRA in the field of prevention and investigation of irregularities and tax fraud, related to customs regimes 4200 and 4000, through intensification of the transnational cooperation with the revenue administrations from the Balkans. Main needs: - enhancing the capacity of NRA during the prevention and investigation of irregularities and fraud, related to customs regimes 4200 and 4000 on the territory of the European Single Market; - sharing good practices with the administrations of Romania, Greece and Turkey and planning of coordinated approaches for quick information exchange and undertaking of joint actions for control, prevention and investigation of irregularities and fraud, related to customs regimes 4200 and 4000; - identification of measures for improving the cooperation with the tax and customs authorities of Romania, Greece and Turkey, directed towards managing the risks, to which the EU financial interests are exposed in cases of import under customs regimes 4200 and 4000, aiming at preventing and combating irregularities and fraud and positive impact on the control activity efficiency; - implementing coordinated approach and undertaking joint measures for the preparation of optimized control models regarding customs procedure 4200, in this number through increasing the benefits from the mutual cooperation, aiming at protecting the EU financial interests.
