Enilive STEP Areas project represents the first stage of development launched by Enilive S.p.A. in order to create a network of safe & secure parking areas for trucks serving both core and comprehensive sections of the TEN-T road network along five different Core Network Corridors: Rhine – Danube, the Scandinavian – Mediterranean, the Mediterranean and North Sea – Rhine – Mediterranean. The project aims to upgrade a total of 5 parking areas located in Italy, Austria, and Germany according to EU parking standards requests for the gold level of certification. In total 251 parking lots will be upgraded on over 97.000 sqm of revamped areas. Beside the direct effect of providing additional safe and secure parking areas in line with Art. 31 of the TEN-T Regulation, the project will indirectly improve working conditions of hauliers, reduce cargo crimes and leverage further potential development of safe and secure parkings network.
